The Rydon Inn at Holsworthy, West Devon was originally a Devon longhouse. It now combines tradition and atmosphere to provide you with a gastro pub delivering high quality food.
We call ourselves a 'gastro pub' because we offer our diners a far more contemporary and satisfying dining experience than the conventional 'pub grub'.
Good Food Awards
We are especially proud to have First Place in 'Best for Families' and Second in the 'Pub Food' category in the North Devon Good Food Awards. The AA Restaurant Guide 2009 has also listed us.
We have recently been awarded an AA rosette for 'Culinary Excellence' for the second year running.

Our menu is thoughtfully prepared by our skilful chefs, using only fresh local produce in a range of wonderful dishes, which draw their inspiration from around the world - certain to tempt every palate.
The menus are frequently changed and we offer a selection of daily specials always based on the fresh products available in the season.
One AA Rosette: "Chefs...display a mastery of basic techniques and be able to produce dishes of sound quality and clarity of flavours, using good fresh ingredients."
The quality of the food is matched by the warmth of the welcome. You will find our staff friendly and attentive, but never obtrusive.
Children are always welcome to dine at The Rydon Inn and there are 'smaller dishes' for them too.

We pride ourselves on our ability to cater for coeliacs, diabetics as well as, of course, vegetarians. In fact, we can cater for all dietary needs because the food is prepared from scratch on the premises and we can thus make adjustments as required.
We are proud of the fact that wheelchair users have easy, level access throughout The Rydon Inn (including the toilets). In fact we work closely with Blagdon Farm a local self-catering accommodation provider which specialises in providing accommodation for guests with disabilities.
Down-to-earth but 'different' - with attention to detail and attention to you, our customer. All at realistic and reasonable prices for a gastronomic experience for adults and children alike.
Not only do we have good, flat accessibility for customers who use wheelchairs, but we also cater for dietary specialities. We make all our own food so we know what's in it and can make adjustments, where necessary, to allow anyone to enjoy the atmosphere and gastronomic experience that our regular customers have come to expect of the Rydon Inn in Holsworthy.
We are dog-friendly and have a designated area for both drinking and eating.
